Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. Upshur County Property Records does not meet the Fair Credit Reporting Act's definition of a consumer reporting agency. Neither these pages nor a linked third-party result may be used to make a decision about credit, employment, insurance, tenant matters, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.
Accuracy and Currency
County portals, fee schedules, and record procedures may change. An index can be corrected, an assessment updated, or map geometry revised. Information here is not guaranteed complete or current; confirm the detail with the public office that maintains it before relying on a record.
No Title, Survey, or Legal Opinion
A property search is not a title opinion, boundary survey, market appraisal, or legal service. The reference points to public record sources and explains their use in Upshur County; a title company, licensed surveyor, appraiser, or attorney must handle the professional question.
Lawful Use Only
Public property files support research and transparency, not intimidation. Do not use an owner name or address to stalk, threaten, harass, or harm a person. West Virginia Code ยง61-2-9a addresses stalking and harassment; this conduct also violates the terms of use.
Third-Party Search Services
Search boxes may send information to an outside provider. We do not set that provider's results, charges, or data practices. Its output is not an FCRA-compliant consumer report.
Links to Other Resources
Links may lead to the County Clerk, Assessor, tax authorities, GIS services, or other public resources. Their owners control availability, content, and accuracy.
Government Files Are Not Hosted Here
No county deed, tax bill, assessment file, or official parcel map is stored on these pages. The links identify the offices that hold those materials. Request, verify, or correct a record directly with its custodian.
